Ghee is a healthy clarified butter – made by removing proteins and other substances so that only pure fat remains, which no longer releases harmful substances as a result of heating.

It is an important element of the Ayurvedic diet due to its wide range of applications – it can be added to warm milk, melted and poured over cooked vegetables, fried scrambled eggs, vegetarian pancakes, crepes or meat cutlets, and used for deep frying.

Ghee gives prepared dishes a characteristic, delicious, buttery taste, and its great advantage is that even when heated to a very high temperature, no harmful substances are produced as a result of combustion and ghee does not burn like regular butter.

Ghee stimulates digestion, helps reduce excess acid in the stomach, provides vitamins A, D, E and K, and also contains antioxidants and easily digestible fatty acids and improves intercellular lipid transport.

Clarified butter (Ghee), often called the gold of Ayurvedic cuisine – is used on a daily basis for preparing meals and body care, but also has a special meaning during Hindu religious ceremonies and is credited with special health-promoting properties.
