Nimi – Manjista churna – Bio
Manjista (botanical name: Rubia cordifolia) is also known under the names madder root or colouring root, because this climbing plant was formerly used for dyeing fabrics. In India Manjista is also called Chovallikoti Churnam or Indian madder Choornam.
In Ayurveda, the dried root of the Manjistha plant is used as a powder. Manjistha is often used in food supplements, for example for supporting fasting or cures, as well as in cosmetic products, for example for skin creams.
