The secret of psyllium husks – known and loved in India for many centuries under the name Sat Isabgol – is their dietary fibre, which makes them a valuable addition to a healthy diet. On contact with water, psyllium husks swell up to 20 times their volume.

Govinda psyllium husks are characterised by highest purity and organic quality.
The lighter they are, the purer and higher the quality. The less brown psyllium seeds are ground, the more white psyllium seed husks remain, and thus the higher the swelling properties.

The taste is neutral – especially nutrition-conscious people take psyllium husks with their muesli, or whenever it seems appropriate, e.g. after a meal.

Psyllium husks are also very good as an ingredient for baking or shakes, or for thickening puddings, red porridge and soups.
