Organic Tulsi Herbal Tea
Tulsi, also known as Tulasi or “Holy Basil”, is a popular Ayurvedic plant that is highly revered not only in India for its many benefits. Thanks to its outstanding properties, tulsi was already used and valued in ancient times.
According to Ayurvedic teachings, tulsi is said to promote inner clarity, balance and harmony. Tulsi is rich in antioxidants and caffeine-free.
In Ayurveda, tulsi is recommended as a ‘rasayana’ (elixir of life) for daily consumption. Its refreshing, herbal flavour delights the senses and has both an invigorating and relaxing effect.
Preparation:
Bring water to the boil, add a quarter teaspoon of Amrita Organics “Lovely Tulsi Tea” and leave to infuse for 5–10 minutes.
As a cold drink, it’s also a refreshing treat with a dash of apple juice and a slice of lemon!
