Licorice root, sliced, organic, 50 g

Licorice root consists of the unpeeled, dried roots and the offshoots of Glycyrrhiza glabra Linné.

Licorice root contains for example potassium and calciumsalts of the glycyrrhizinic acid (= glycyrrhizin) and flavonoids. Because of its aromatic and sweet taste, licorice root is perfect for tasty spice blends. Licorice root is the basis for the production of black licorice.
In traditional culture, licorice root is used for the daily tooth-care.
