Sugarcane sugar, commonly known as Misri or Rock Sugar has been a paushtik dravya (wholesome substance) since ages. Since it’s the purest form of sugar, it is also considered satvik.
Sweet taste (madhuara rasa), especially that of misri is an important one. It has Vata and Pitta pacifying qualities. However, use misri sparingly and consciously.
